Course Information: 101-92A30-C45, Automated Logistical Specialist ALC is a branch specific course that provides the 92A NCO's selected for attendance with progressive and sequential leader, technical, and tactical training / education relevant to the duties and responsibilities to serve successfully at the squad level. This course is designed to prepare the 92A NCO to be agile and adaptable; to lead and train Soldiers who work and fight under their supervision, and to assist there leaders to execute unit missions.

Scope: 101-92A30-C45, Automated Logistical Specialist ALC incorporates the Army Learning Model (ALM) supporting outcomes-based methodology. It integrates 21st Century Soldier Competencies into learning content and converts most classroom experiences into collaborative problem solving events led by facilitators (vice instructors) who engage learners to think and understand the relevance and context of what they learn. Phase one technical training and education consists of the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army) Warehouse module). Phase two training and education consists of the GCSS-Army Material Management module, Subsistence Supply management, Storage Support Management and the Battle Command Sustainment Support System (BCS3). Course Outcomes: At the completion of the course, Sergeants/Staff Sergeants will fully understand and demonstrate proficiency in the 21st Soldier competencies appropriate to their level; will be able to demonstrate to his/her subordinates the tactical and technical mastery of 92A30, capable of operating with tactical efficiency within Army Doctrine as a Squad/Section Leader within a platoon as part of a combined arms element; will be aware of their role as a member of the Army Profession and able to apply those ideas through the application of leadership using Army values and ethics; capable of applying the four Attributes: lead, train & educate; care for Soldiers & equipment; and maintain & enforce standards; capable of adaptive and critical thinking; and are able to communicate (orally or written) or take appropriate action. Sergeants/Staff Sergeants will fully understand and demonstrate proficiency in the operation and management of the Global Combat Support System – Army warehouse and material management modules; management of base SSA operations, to include: storage of material, performing care of supplies in storage (COSIS) inspections, management of HAZMAT stocks, conduct a change of accountable officer, manage the CL I section of the SSA and responsibilities of setting up a deployed SSA. The Sergeant/Staff Sergeant will be able to perform duties as the SSA NCOIC or a Material Requirements (MR) manager at the support operations section of a Brigade Support Battalion (BSB) or higher element.
