Army Credentialing Assistance

The Army Credentialing Assistance Program is much like the Army’s Tuition Assistance (TA) funding, which is provided to eligible Soldiers working towards an academic degree, CA funds allows Soldiers to pursue voluntary credentials. CA is a voluntary, off-duty program that directly contributes to improving Total Army readiness, supporting Soldiers’ professional development, retaining quality Soldiers, and preparing Soldiers for meaningful employment upon transition from military service. Institutionally Delivered Credential Program

The Army offers Active Duty, Army Reserve, and National Guard Soldiers the opportunity to earn selected credentials throughout the Soldier's career at Army training schools.


USMAP is an opportunity for Active Duty, Army Reserve and National Guard Soldiers to enhance their job skills and show motivation for more challenging military assignments and obtain Certificates and Journeyman Cards aligned with their MOS.
