Preparing For MDO

The Combined Arms Center directed Army University to modernize the Captains Career Course by October 1st, 2022. The result is a blended learning model with both online and face-to-face learning experiences. This modernized course will prepare the Army's Captains for both command and staff roles in the multi-domain fight.

Blended Learning

Beginning October 1st, 2022 all Army Captains across all components will have access to a new Captains Career Course Common Core Distributed Learning course (C5 DL) on the Army Learning Management System (ALMS). C5 DL is required for all officers attending CCC beginning April 1st 2023. C5 DL consists of 75 hours of self-paced online learning.

Expertise

All schools and centers of excellence will have 167.5 more hours to develop Captains that are experts in their craft. Students will develop the knowledge, skills, and attributes to command companies in current and future operational environments. Captains will be multi-domain ready.
