Course Information: The goal of this course is to enable students to effectively apply the Army Reserve Training Strategy (ARTS) in unit training management, and to utilize training management software systems, such as the Digital Training Management System (DTMS), and Net-centric Unit Status Report (NetUSR).

Scope: This two week course focuses on planning, developing and managing training strategies through classroom instruction, practical exercises; scenario based STX's which includes the development of training plans that incorporate the concepts and principles of Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN)/Sustainable Readiness Model (SRM). Students will plan and prepare for Unified Land Operations using Standardized METLs in coordination with ARTS, implement Deliberate Risk Assessment Worksheet (DRAW) for training plans; identify, plan and forecast individual/collective training requirements. The course culminates in a comprehensive combined arms planning exercise that requires students to apply and synthesize training doctrine for unit mission success in Unified Land Operations. Target Audience: Unit operations/training NCOs, Officers, Managers (UAs), Commanders, and 1SG's at Company level. Individuals assigned as (duty appointment memorandum), or responsible for developing and managing company level training and branch immaterial. NCO grade E5-E8, Officer grade O1-O4, DAC GS 5/7 and others by exception.
