Course Information: To provide transition training for National Guard and Reserve Captains and Lieutenants who have been assessed into the Cyber Operations Branch.

Scope: Upon completion of the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND) 1 and 2, officers will be able to conduct defensive and offensive cyberspace operations (DCO and OCO) through the employment of effects to degrade, disrupt, destroy or manipulate the enemy while allowing all commanders the freedom of maneuver in and through the cyberspace domain. Cyber Officers will receive technical and tactical Institutional Cyber School and Cyber Center of Excellence (CoE) training. Training is focused on the core competencies associated with conducting maneuver and effects through DCO and OCO and within the Army and Joint Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational (JIIM) environment. Course Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the MOS 17A Soldier will be a professional Officer of character and presence capable of providing direct leadership for the Army. The Soldier will apply the leadership and skills necessary to effectively train and lead cyber operations personnel to defending cyber networks, by performing threat management of new and existing networks and performing network forensic operations after a network intrusion. Scope: Phase 3 provides the Army with a corps of highly skilled officers who lead, plan, and direct both defensive and offensive cyberspace maneuver and effects operations in and through the cyberspace warfighting domain to ensure freedom of action. Cyber Officers will receive technical and tactical institutional Cyber School and Cyber Center of Excellence (CYBERCoE) training. Training is focused on the core competencies associated with conducting maneuver and effects through Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO) and within the Army and Joint Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational (JIIM) environment. This course will consist of Advanced Computer Planners Course (ACOPC); Joint Advanced Cyber Warfare Course (JACWC); and a Capstone Exercise. Course Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the MOS 17A Soldier will be a professional Officer of character and presence capable of providing direct leadership for the Army. The Soldier will apply the leadership and skills necessary to effectively train and lead cyber operations personnel to defending cyber networks, by performing threat management of new and existing networks and performing network forensic operations after a network intrusion.
