The course has three areas of emphasis: The art of command and mission command; leadership and self awareness; and Army policy programs and areas of special emphasis. The focus for the art of command and mission command is applying the principals of mission command to effect change in the Army. The focus for leadership and self awareness is developing or enhancing the leadership skills and self awareness required of senior Army leaders and developing an individual action plan that will assist in future personal and professional development. The focus for Army policy programs and areas of special interest is on the discipline health and welfare of the force.
