Phase Name: 0Training Days: 7Academic Hours: 40
Scope: DLC III is a 40 academic hour, Web-based, distributed-learning (DL) course consisting of 17 lessons, in four modules with stealth assessments. The modules included in DLC III are: Module 1: Army Leadership and Profession; Module 2: Mission Command; Module 3: Human Dimension/Adaptability; Module 4: Professional Competence. DLC III is a self-paced course taught in the ALMS delivery system to Active Army, Army National Guard (ARNG) and U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) Soldiers. It employs selfpaced instruction, with an interactive assessment scenario at the end of every lesson. DLC Level III prepares the Staff Sergeant by providing an opportunity to improve as a leader, a professional, and as an individual in the human dimension. The course develops the leadership skills needed to lead a platoon size element and to make quick, accurate decisions that are in the best interest of the mission and Soldiers. DLC III is a prerequisite for the Senior Leader Course (SLC). Students must satisfactorily complete all modules before receiving credit for the course.
